Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself?
To have
greater health you must first begin with yourself. We must be willing to
explore our inner and outer health. Exploring your inner and outer health
requires you start with preparations and practice. Once you start incorporating these concepts
into your everyday living you are able to explore the benefits of integral
health and healing. By practicing integral
health we gain confidence in higher possibilities. Our personal work becomes a sacred
responsibility. (Dacher,
M.D., E., 2006)

Assessment:
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?
My personal assessment
begins with a scale from 1-10, 1 being the best. When assessing my wellness in spirituality, I
gave myself a score of 5. I am so
overwhelmed with my school schedule and my work schedule I find that my wellness
in spirituality is suffering. I assessed
my physical health as a 3 because I have a medical condition to which I am allergic
to the cure. My only hope for this is to
eat less, and lose weight. Psychologically,
I assessed my score at a 7 because I am now aware of my thoughts and
actions.
III.
Goal
development:
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.
My goal for my physical health is to start
Yoga, and increase my cardio workouts. My
Psychological goal is to be aware of my current state of thinking. To show loving kindness to all and practice the
meditation exercises. My goal for spirituality is to set aside more time to develop
my personal spirituality.
IV.
Practices
for personal health:
What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.

The strategies I can implement for my
physical health are to develop easier exercise routines, commit to doing them
and start doing Yoga. Strategies to
develop my Psychological Health include doing the exercises provided in the
course work, the subtle mind and the Aesclepius exercises will increase my psychological
health. To increase my spirituality I
would employ meditation and again practice the exercises available in my
coursework.
V.
Commitment:
How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?

I could assess my progress by creating charts and monitoring
my current goal strategies. I could also create charts to monitor my psychological
and spiritual well-being.
